Do Not Feed the Trolls

Not much of a big achievement considering the group composition and gear, but the quickly planned visit to the forest trolls' little fortress resulted in the defeat of the leader of the Amani, Zul'jin. It was not totally within the timer set for the rescuing of the prisoners (partly because of not too much effort spent on the laggy test realm), but I guess it will not take too long for a group from us to reach that too.

The plan to make Zul'Aman a quicker, harder and more rewarding compared to Karazhan seems to be successful, which inherently supports the smaller guilds considering content. The instance has quite a short reset timer and is fast to go through especially after you have learned all the quirks, but I guess the somewhat easier and faster access was planned and as such it is like it should be. Like Karazhan, Zul'Aman supports nicely the "one of everything" scheme for the classes. It is not a strict requirement though, and some of the missing roles can be easily be covered by a representative of another class.

All in all, the instance seems to be what Blizzard wanted it to be, and it probably will be quite a success like its "little brother" Zul'Gurub was.

Illidari Council, the proud subordinates of the lord of the Black Temple. The first time you see them they stand at the top of the stairs; so self-confident, and so oblivious of their looming fate. Oh, if they just would know.

It must be blood ties that create bonds so enduring between some people. And with variety in skills comes adaptability and survivability. Honestly I am not sure if these features combined are a strength or a weakness, but they really do make this one group of elves painfully annoying. And annoyed is really not the state you want a group of people at your doorstep to be in.

After cleaning the dirt off the way to the top of the Temple, we met Akama again. His greatly advertised help has not been too visible so far (apart from the fact that the Deathsworn are not attacking us, which naturally is helpful), but I guess that has been his way since the beginning; pulling the strings in the shades, and vexing Maiev. And he knows a couple of good locksmiths, what is enough for us for the moment.

Now it is time for the big challenge. Illidan Stormrage, The Betrayer.

A meeting without reservation is something we are good at, mainly because timetables and schedules are among the horrid things that we laugh at, so we decided to crash in and invite ourselves to a tour to the upper parts of the Black Temple. And even though it took a lot of heart from us to reach this far inside, the sacrifices were not in vain after all.

Adjutants such as Mother Shahraz must come in handy often, so it is no wonder that Illidan has lured her from the ranks of the Legion, and has her to serve him for what sinister needs he has. When seeing her we were left wondering what one would need to offer to get such a nice personality to join our ranks, as having one would really help release the tension at times.

Having an assistant with that temper might not suite us though, and she really had quite a few good shots on us. But sadly her charms (among other things) were not totally irresistible. And sure enough, after some eyeballing across the opening, we got the happy ending we wanted from her after all.

Suppression equals depression. There is not much more to say about this kind of encounters really. If you want to find at least something positive about it, it does not take over fifteen minutes to clear it all just to face the bad guy in the end again. And in this case you really can call it facing something.

The encounter itself is just bringing some order to the chaos, keeping the twitchy fingers in line and then finally going all out and hoping that it is enough. Routine is the key which is no surprise, and what really has been the case countless times before.
