Now I Shall Reign in Blood

I refuse to use the too common quote from Gurtogg Bloodboil here to make a smart remark regarding the fight and the result of a bit of crushing. And he is a nice guy really, with some healthy red on his cheeks, but also with some serious anger management issues. It was nothing that we could not have been able to take care of without too much of a trouble though.

As it is known, Gurtogg is a bit healing intensive fight, but otherwise a rather straightforward encounter with just enough of small details that make him a challenge for the unwary. I guess we just need to carry the usual forest with us during the times we come visiting him, and there should be no big problems.

The next quarrel will be with the angry faces, Reliquary of Souls. They got something I have always disliked; a suppression room. But apart from that little annoyance it really seems to be an interesting encounter to see, so I guess we will just have to endure with it.

History Repeats Itself

In the end, it really does not help to be a being with immense powers if you grow arrogant and let the small details defeat you. But it surely helps one to make that an extremely annoying and hard achievement to accomplish. Or it could have been just us, it is a bit hard to tell.

After all though, I am happy to see Archimonde go down finally as he is one of the few bosses that require a lot from all of the raid members. In our case this means that this fight was not and never will be an easy one. However, I am really content with how the final try went. Even more so because of the cherry on top; us almost failing during the last few percents because of one of the noisy but ignorant ones. Ah, the irony.

Also congratulations to Eternal Corpse Council for their achievement with him just a few moments after us, and also maybe for breaking the world record in tries before the first kill. I guess it is now the time for both guilds to concentrate more on Black Temple. And why not, competition is a good motivator after all.

Thought You Would Get Away So Easily?

Ah, sweet revenge. Again we found you, Teron Gorefiend, but this time with none of your mischievous lies and deceits. Tricking us is not something we take lightly, and now it was time to settle the deeds done by you to us, and to all the many others who have suffered because of your doings over the years. We will see if you manage to ploy yourself out of death once again, but at least I hope we did not make it an easy feat to achieve this time.

When considering the Black Temple so far, it was nice to face some real challenge again. And the kind of a challenge that is for all of the raid (except the main tank, I always miss all the fun). I am quite certain that the progress will slow down a bit now as the fights get harder, but at least there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Shame of Akama

The burden of misjudgement lies heavily on the shoulders of Akama. Even though trading one evil for another was not in his intentions, acknowledgement of the error was done too late, and Illidan is a master of who one cannot easily get rid of. But several years of waiting and planning are finally paying off, as the courageous adventurers seek out glory and fortune. And with them a chance to enforce a bit of justice. Even the representatives of the race responsible for the initial desecration of the Temple are now aiding the forces against the Betrayer and his stronghold.

But the final judgement cannot be delivered without proper preparations. Illidan, even though his sanity is questioned by some people, is no fool and not to be taken lightly. Akama of all knows this, as Illidan did separate his soul to be kept as a hostage inside the Temple just to assure the obedience of the Broken. But even then he could not foresee the events that are slowly unfolding.

Even though Akama does not surely win any beauty contests, the one true contest to redeem his soul he did not lose. Well, to be honest I am a bit baffled of what happened, as on the same moment the Shade that Akama was seeking to defeat died, so did he also. It is a bit hard to say if it can be called a victory, but at least we got the loot which means more glory and fortune for us. We will try the justice part on the next time then.

  • [item]Ring of Deceitful Intent[/item]
