The pleasant weather was too tempting, I admit. Putting a hold on raid activity for a while was really not a hard decision. Even now, during the night, it is over 28 degrees here inside my apartment and not much colder outside. But that is ok, I usually am sweating to get these posts done anyhow, this time it is just a bit more literal.

Some of us did disagree with having a summer break again, even though this was the shortest one during the time I have been in the guild. But it has been held every year so far, and quite probably will be on the forthcoming years too. I see no bad in it. And the thing is, with a long holiday comes also the slowly building desire to come back and to continue from where you left off. There are still quite a lot of things for us to see, and I hope that the enthusiasm collected during the last few weeks will get us forward a bit more quickly.

And really, what would have been a better than to continue our progress at the virtual grill conveniently provided to us by Kael'thas' favourite pet, Al'ar the Phoenix God? Nothing. And again I am impressed, the encounter turned out to be yet another fight where there are multiple ways to handle certain things, but where you still reach the final result with the same ease either way. Of course these options are quite small ones, but they all really count for me.

Yes, I know. I forgot to wear the cowl.

Loot from Al'ar:
  • [item]Arcanite Steam-Pistol[/item]
  • [item]Fire Crest Breastplate[/item]

A reason to dress in cloth and not get laughed at, now who would want to miss the opportunity? And that is not all, with it comes the chance to see the world's biggest blueberry in action. A deal no one in their right mind will reject, even though I have to say that the final part is a bit underwhelming. Or the whole encounter if you are the one assigned to keep an eye on the random targets, but sometimes you just cannot win.

So there lies Solarian, the High Astromancer of the Tempest Keep. She is one of the bosses that have aroused quite a lot of discussion regarding implementation as these resistance fights have been a really troublesome subject. And due to the way to resolve the problems in this fight, it really is not any different from the original Hydross. I would not be surprised if the encounter will be changed somewhat in the future. But until then, we will enjoy the loot.

Loot from High Astromancer Solarian:
  • [item]Worldstorm Gauntlets[/item]
  • [item]Vambraces of Ending[/item]

But With A Heart

Once there was a little reaver, who wanted to be a lot more meaner.
Craving to be some bit wider, and to stand out as much higher.
He was given home by the elves, who thought to use his skills for themselves.
There he got all what he wanted, and was to be cared for until he halted.

Then one day the alerts aroused, and all the patrols searched and browsed.
He did not know for why this was caused, until when all the racket had paused.
There the bevy stood in front of him, ready for fight and determined to win.
And even as much as he tried and pounded, he had only slightly wounded.

As none of his parts could not be mended, this is how it all finally ended.
Slowly falling apart on the floor, as his last thought "pain no more".

Ok, the next time I try to do this while I am still soundly awake and not sleeping in front of the computer. But you can consider it as a rare piece of art that also tend often to be rather unpleasant suprises to the untrained eye. And this smoothly brings us to the subject of The Eye and us seeking some new content inside its narrow corridors and vast halls. As you can see, Void Reaver met his poetical destiny. Afterwards we spent some time in the solarium, with maybe some real progress with the encounter thanks to a few individuals and their effort in the latter part of the night. More to post here soon? I hope so.

Loot from Void Reaver:

  • [item]Fel-Steel Warhelm[/item]
  • [item]Pauldrons of the Vanquished Hero[/item]
  • [item]Pauldrons of the Vanquished Defender[/item]

Attack! Run! Fight against yourself! Run again! What? What is going on here? The cause for all this, a mere elf going berserk? But have no fear, soon the answer will dawn upon you as the twin blades sear through the ranks of the group of venturers who dare to meddle with things of unknown nature; it is Leotheras the Blind, a demon hunter subdued by Lady Vashj's minions for reasons yet unknown. What a way to say hello and thank you to the rescuers. Luckily we were more than eager to return the pleasantries.

Considering the occuring events, he seems not to have had the most successful career and thus has become the prey himself. This of course leads us to meet our own little demons during the eventful fight, which shows again the design effort spent for these encounters. I really have to admit that I like the whole place, I really do, especially after the latest changes. Yes, even when it has murlocs.

Loot from Leotheras the Blind:

  • [item]Tsunami Talisman[/item]
  • [item]Gloves of the Vanquished Defender[/item]
  • [item]Gloves of the Vanquished Hero[/item]
