Eikös olisikin hyvä parannusidea...

Tämmöisen pistin feedbackkinä Mythicille (ei sillä, että tämä koskaan toteutuisi). Eikös olisikin juuri hyvä parannus combat systemiin?

Suggestion for RvR combat system improvement

SUMMARY: Reduce chance to hit player A, when too many enemies are attacking from one sector.

BACKGROUND: The tactic used most these days in RvR combat is the "assist train". It requires skill only from the "MA" or the "main assist". Others need only to keep hitting their assist macro and spam their anytime or back styles. When an assist train hits a mesmerized victim, the "frontloaded" damage of slow weapons means that the target is dead before his or her group's healers even see the hitpoints dropping on their screen (in the worst-case scenario).

SUGGESTION: In the interest of expanding the available viable tactics and increasing the length of engagements, I suggest giving penalties to the attackers' to-hit chance when there are more than one attacker attacking from one sector (front, side, back). This is easily justified using real-life examples, i.e., there is just no room to attack effectively (this assumes that New Frontiers shall not be introducing collision detection). The actual numbers would, naturally, require testing.

INTENDED RESULT: Better skills in assisting would be required, not just mindless hitting of the assist macro. Higher skills and better tactics would give a melee group a better chance of defeating a numerically superior enemy than currently is possible (one criticism of DAoC often heard is that it has been reduced to a numbers game).
